The oldest is the Ordem de Avis instituted in 1162 for D.Afonso Henriques.
He got his first sedein Coimbra,them being the Master,the bastard brother of King D. Pedro Afonso
After the conquest of Évora,headquarters was moved to this city,spent more late 1213 for the city of Avis,when it separates from the Order of Calatrava
D. João I was the Master of the Order,when he was acclaimed King.

Ordem de Cristo
A Ordem de Cristo was founded in 1319 by D.Dinis as a result of the future extinction of the Order dos Templarios ordered by the Pope.The seat was Castro MarimIn 1356 D. Afonso IV moved the headquarters for Tomar place that was the site prior to its termination of the Templars
The Infante D. Henrique was governor for 42 years.

Ordem de Santiago de Espada
Born in the city of Leão two years before,the Order of Santiago de Espada arrived in Portugal in 1177 with its first headquarters in Lisbon monastery of Santos-o-Velho.Eleven years after D. Dinis made it independent of its dependence Castela.Starting from 1443 up to have its headquarters in Palmela being here its first Master Infant son of King D. Joao de Boa Memória.
